The Rings of Vinyl Blog is a medium to express my gratitude and spread the knowledge I gained after years of exploring the world of Vinyl. I hope the blog will be helpful to anyone who is thinking of or just getting into the beautiful world of vinyl and learn about the various aspects of it. Right from my childhood, I have seen how the music playback medium has evolved from vinyl records, betamax, spool tape recorders, audio cassettes, compact discs, iPod to Spotify. For the past couple of years, I have been drawn back towards vinyl mainly for nostalgia reason and to collect my favorite records in physical form.
The name The Rings of Vinyl was inspired from the above close up when I was browsing for some vinyl photos. The first thing which came into my mind was the Rings of Saturn and thought this would be good analogy to the grooves forming a ring around the vinyl record.
